So I found these helpdesk snippits today and it shows a rule dA has regarding Contests and raffles. So I looked into this further. I found a few other journals on the matter that people are having their raffles/contests taken down because of this rule. Raffles, contests, and other giveaways cannot offer points or other forms of currency as a prize. There is no clear rule I can find in the points policy or in the FAQ's that dA provides. The only thing mentioned that's close is FAQ #894: Can I run a lottery, raffle, sweepstakes or other random drawing or game of chance through my DeviantArt account? which states that you cannot run a lottery for points on dA. Please be careful when creating contests and raffles. Make them non point/money oriented and they should be fine.
I mainly wanted to address this for 1ND1GO-ST4RDROP and borderlin-e since they are hosting a wonderful 2P Hetalia contest with a lot of cool prizes. Sadly the point prizes need to be revised to something else due to the policy dA has. Last thing I want is someone to get in trouble because dA is paranoid that some illegal activity may happen.
